Electrical Engineering Department

At a time when rapid development envisage partial obsolescence of yesterday’s technology, it is difficult to keep pace with the changes especially in the electrical engineering industry with more emphasis on areas of power and electronics systems.

Being a developing country involvement is more on maintenance which demands adequate knowledge in handling equipment and control system. To achieve these objectives IET has designed the syllabuses and curricular to train industry based technicians to shoulder
these responsibilities and to meet the needs of industrial development.

Apprentices fulfilling the electrical / electronics specializations are employed in a wide range of applications, which include circuit design, installation of equipment and machinery, digital electronics, power generation and distribution systems. Additional involvement in client liaison, sales, staff supervision, tendering, preparation of technical reports and work schedules boost up the image and abilities of our trained technicians

This department has undertaken three specialization fields as follows

  • Electronic & Communication Engineering
  • Power Engineering
